Thoughts of a 93-year-old

What Skaha Lake Park meant to me, when my dear husband had dementia (Alzheimer’s); what could I do to keep him at home?

One direction from our doctors was to try taking him out every day and the park would be a good place to start.

So every weekday we went to Okanagan Lake Park and every Sunday Skaha Lake Park. This worked out better than I thought it would and helped me to keep my husband at home for a further five years. So I can’t help but stress: keep Skaha Lake Park as it is. Skaha Lake Park is a gem. That is how visitors admire it; I’ve heard it said many times over and over. Many places don’t even have a park.
