Save Skaha Park will be on the agenda tonight, after all

Save Skaha Park will now be part of tonight’s Penticton City Council meeting.

The lobby group was told Friday they wouldn’t be allowed to present to council but, after a meeting with several of the organizers this morning, Mayor Andrew Jakubeit appears to have had a change of heart.

Save Skaha Park spokesperson Lisa Martin said her group was told shortly after 3 p.m. today that they would be allowed to make a 10-minute delegation near the start of tonight’s meeting, which begins at City Hall at 6 p.m.

Jake Kimberley, Dr. Gerry Karr and Carolae Donahue will all address council.

They are one of three delegations with the others being Incredible Edibles and Penticton Peach Festival.
