Dear Editor:
Last weekend with my daughter in town visiting we took a walk through Skaha Lake Park. We went to visit “our” tree in the Memorial Grove, that commemorates her grandmother.
I explained to her that the Trio group would be taking all the trees in the grove out to make way for a road way for the new waterslide park plan.
As upset as we were we continued to look at the plaques under the trees and found one that said, I quote;
In Loving Memory
Elizabeth Medve 1897 – 2000
May this tree live as long as she did.
Kind of says it all doesn’t it!
