Look after what we already have

Dear Editor:

With a computer you can search for information from around the world.

On one such computer journey I came across an article on implementing ideas. Not ever being able to find it again, I can’t give credit where credit is due.

Here is that statement and it epitomizes  our mayor and council, “brilliantly pursuing the wrong vision”.  A tourism development expert in the UK claims, if you want to increase business, don’t try to re invent yourself, make everything you already have the best it can be. Now that’s brilliant, provide the best – the best food, the best public toilets, the cleanest town, the best maintained heritage/ public buildings, walkways, trails and parks.

Parks with the best views, free areas, where thousands of runners, swimmers, paddlers and families can gather.
